Xanthan gum can form a high-viscosity pseudoplastic solution at extremely low concentrations, and the viscosity of its aqueous solution is significantly affected by concentration: the viscosity of a 0.5% aqueous solution can reach hundreds of times that of ordinary water. At the same time, it can effectively suspend solid particles, oil droplets, etc. in the system, prevent stratification and sedimentation, and maintain the uniformity and stability of the system.
