Vietnam’s chemical industry is experiencing robust growth, driven by expanding manufacturing sectors like textiles, agriculture, and water treatment. The demand for inorganic salts, including calcium hypochlorite and aluminum sulfate, is particularly high due to the country’s tropical climate and increasing focus on sanitation and agricultural productivity.
Geographically, industrial hubs like Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and the coastal provinces are witnessing the highest concentration of chemical manufacturing activities. However, logistical challenges, including port congestion and transportation infrastructure limitations, pose significant hurdles for efficient supply chain management.
The Vietnamese government is actively promoting the development of a sustainable chemical industry through favorable investment policies and environmental regulations, encouraging the adoption of cleaner production technologies and responsible chemical handling practices. The need for quality xanthan gum and benzoic acid is also increasing due to growth in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
